Policeman harasses Lady in Ibadan; questions her virginity.

A Policeman, self identified as Wyclef, and his team were seen in viral video harassing an ex-corp member who is supposedly a girlfriend to an alleged armed robber and kidnapper in Ibadan, Oyo State. The lady, identified as Towobola, was handcuffed and subjected to series of humiliating questions. The police officer questioned why She left her ex-boyfriend and engaged in ‘Aristo’ - an act of dating elderly rich people for financial gains.


He further inquired about her virginity and whether She has had sex with the alleged robber. Wyclef did a video recording of the lady and threatened to put it the video out in all media station if She dared lie to him. He appraised himself for catching the alleged robber like ‘fowl’ gleefully showing off his face. See videos below.

The 25-year old distressed lady however denied being an Aristo and said She just lost her virginity this year. She claimed She recently met the alleged robber that introduced himself as a soft drink (Coke) dealer. Towobola, a graduate of University of Ibadan, denied ever having sex with the alleged robber and claimed She only visited the accused to help out with cooking. The helpless lady was swallowed in regrets and pleaded they stopped recording her.

The unprofessional conduct by Wyclef and his team met with serious criticisms on social media and described as completely horrible. Many described the display by the men of the Nigeria Police Force has shameful, demeaning and lacks intellectual engagement.

In reaction to this, the Inspector General of Police has ordered discreet investigations into the circumstances surrounding the dehumanizing treatment meted out to Towobola. The Nigeria Police Force, via her twitter handle, assured members of the public that investigations aimed at unraveling the true identity of the perpetrators has been directed by the Inspector General of Police and members of the Force found culpable in the incident will be made to face the appropriate sanctions”.
